Victim Specialist

Position Summary: The Victim Specialist is primarily responsible for providing trauma-informed crisis and ongoing support and advocacy to survivors of rape, and sex abuse with a strong focus on sex trafficking in the medical and judicial systems. The Victim Specialist provides a broad range of services to empower a survivor including, but not limited to: educating and facilitating the victim’s decision-making, serving as a liaison between agencies, accompanying/staying with the victim during court appointments, conducting safety planning. Victim Specialist will also assist with providing training for law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, and other community professionals. This position serves all cities in Cuyahoga County with a focus on suburban communities and sex trafficking.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, MA preferred, LSW required, with two years of experience in a related field providing direct services to the community in a human services program, or five years’ work experience in a related field.  Must have ability to build relationships, collaborate internally and externally, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences, staff, volunteers and partners both verbally and in writing; able to assess the needs of clients under emotional stress and refer to appropriate resources, handle graphic accounts of crimes, interact effectively with emotionally upset survivors; Maintain confidentiality of information; Must be able to travel in North East Ohio and have valid OH driver’s license.

Regional Victim Specialist

Community Outreach Specialist – Regional

Position Summary: The Regional Outreach Specialist connects with the community by building and maintaining relationships with community groups and other social service organizations, conducting a variety of strategic outreach activities, and engaging clients in Cleveland Rape Crisis programs. This position will work to increase awareness and utilization of sexual assault specific services in Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula Counties through presentations, community events and information dissemination. The Regional Outreach Specialist will provide support to the regional team in educating medical professionals, mental health professionals and law enforcement on CRCC programs and best practices of working with survivors of sexual violence. The Regional Outreach Specialist will also be responsible for providing education and outreach services/activities to individuals and groups who are from vulnerable populations in danger of victimization or re-victimization, and survivors who have experienced rape and sexual abuse (including Sex Trafficking). This is a full-time nonexempt position, requiring flexible hours of work for the purpose of meeting the need of survivor of sexual assault.  This position requires travel within the community.

Qualifications: An ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, minimum of two years’ experience in community-based programs preferred. Excellent public speaking, presentation and communication skill. Ability to establish rapport, connect with others and forge strong relationships. Comfort in speaking and working with consumers and potential clients. Committed to the mission of CRCC to serve survivors and prevent sexual violence. Possess knowledge of cultural diversity, working with underserved, vulnerable populations and rural communities. Ability to support and motivate potential clients. Excellent interpersonal skills required; must be able to work well with volunteers and staff. Valid OH driver’s license necessary.

Community Engagement Specialist

Position Summary: The Community Engagement Specialist works to build impactful engagement with Cleveland Rape Crisis Center’s target audiences online and in the community so that more survivors of rape and sexual abuse seek the Center’s services. The Community Engagement Specialist position – a newly created position – is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to help others and gain experience working for a growing nonprofit organization within the social justice and social services sectors. This position reports to the Director of Community Engagement within the Resource Development Department. Principal duties are to manage and inform the agency’s social media plan (strategy, content, measurement); develop and coordinate the agency’s communications calendar (content creation, strategy design); manage the agency’s website; maintain the agency’s suite of marketing materials; utilize CRM-style database; act as an ambassador of CRCC; and perform administrative and other duties as needed. This is a full-time position.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of demonstrated experience (professional and/or strong internship experience) in a broad base of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram; a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English or related field; the ability to understand and communicate the agency’s mission; the ability to multi-task and organize; strong verbal and written communications skills; demonstrated successful experience in communications; proficiency in the use of Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Hootsuite, Constant Contact (or equivalent programs); and basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or other graphics-based software. Manager of Human Resources

Position Summary: The Manager of Human Resources is responsible for the administration of the human resources policies and procedures. They are instrumental in the areas of departmental development, Human Resource Information Systems, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, and employment. This is a full-time position.

Qualifications: The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of five years of broad HR experience, including experience with payroll, reporting, benefits and the annual audit process; in-depth knowledge of at least one payroll system; and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. An ideal candidate will be results oriented with superior skills in organizing, planning, and attention to details; have excellent verbal and written communication skills; and have a strong sense of integrity, honesty, and ethics.

Trauma Therapist

Position Summary: The Trauma Therapist reports to the Director of Clinical Services and provides individual and group therapeutic services to all survivors of rape and sexual abuse, as well as to non-offending family members, guardians, and other close supporters. The Trauma Therapist is expected to independently manage a caseload to ensure that all clients receive timely services. Has experience with co-occurring disorders such as addictions and mental illness. This is a full-time position requiring flexible hours (evenings, PRN Saturdays) of work.

Qualifications: A qualified applicant will have a Master’s degree in Social Services, Counseling, Art Therapy and/or a related field, with valid OH license (LSW, LISW, PCC). Specialization in experiential modes of therapy (art, play, music) and/or training in evidenced-based trauma treatment methods such as EMDR, CPT, TF-CBT preferred. Requires travel.

Volunteer & Internship Coordinator

Position Summary: The Volunteer & Internship Coordinator reports to the Manager of 24-Hour Services and is responsible for the coordination of all aspects of the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center’s (CRCC) volunteer and internship programs, including recruitment, training, and recognition of volunteers and interns. The Volunteer & Internship Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining the operations of CRCC’s text and chat line, as well as utilizing volunteers in non-direct service capacities, as needed.

Qualifications: A qualified applicant will have a Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field, LSW preferred. Experience with volunteer or intern program coordination; ability to work with diverse populations; ability to multi-task; detail-oriented and organized; experienced with diverse technologies and software, the ability to work a flexible schedule; excellent communication skills; bi-lingual preferred. This is a full-time position requiring flexible hours (evenings, PRN weekends) of work. Candidates must be available to assist with on-call shifts between 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am as needed.

Support Specialist

Position Summary:  The Support Specialist reports to the Manager of 24-Hour Services and is responsible for providing 24-Hour Support, including survivor care in hospitals and police stations; phone and text/chat hot coverage to ensure all survivors and co-survivors of sexual abuse, rape and human trafficking in Northeast Ohio have immediate 24/7 access to support, education, crisis stabilization and follow-up services. The Support Specialist also works with CRCC Volunteers, taking on the role of shift leader by answering questions, addressing any scheduling changes, problems, or questions and providing information as needed. The Support Specialist also assists staff throughout various departments with administrative assistance. This is a full-time (40-hours a week) position for the 6 am – 6 pm shift.

Qualifications: A qualified applicant will successfully complete CRCC’s Advocacy Training; must have the ability to serve individuals in a direct service capacity; remain calm and clear-headed in stressful or unanticipated situations; be accessible and reliable while on-call. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary and weekend and holiday hours are required. Must have valid OH driver’s license and reliable transportation.
