Director, Individual & Corporate Giving

Position Summary: The Director, Individual & Corporate Giving works to grow Cleveland Rape Crisis Center’s annual revenues and base of supporters.  As a member of the Leadership Team, this key position oversees and performs activities related to major gifts, annual fund, corporate giving and special events.  This is a full-time, exempt position.  Occasional evening and weekend work hours will be required. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required.  Professional experience typically evidenced by 5+ years of working in the field of major gift-type fund development. Professional must have demonstrated written communication abilities as well as honed critical thinking and relationship-building skills.  The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, goal oriented, self-starter, who likes to work with autonomy.  Candidates with previous supervisory and health and human service based experiences are highly desired.  Candidates lacking a sense of humor will not be considered.

Development Coordinator

Position Summary: The Development Coordinator will work as a team affiliate to secure operating and program-related support for CRCC.  Responsibilities will include special event coordination, database management, grant writing, donor stewardship, and administrative support. This is a full-time (40 hours a week) position. CRCC offers a flexible schedule for the purposes of meeting the responsibilities of the position. Occasional evening and weekend hours required.

Qualifications: Professional must be goal oriented, a self-starter, deadline conscious, highly organized and able to work independently. Bachelor’s degree required; at least 2 years of experience in fund development or related field preferred.  Final candidate will have demonstrated grant writing experience.

Outreach Specialist – Campus

Position Summary:  The Outreach Specialist’s primary responsibility is to provide education, outreach and awareness-raising services to individuals and groups on campus such as students, those who service students, campus administration and police. Educational activities focus on responding to sexual violence in a trauma informed way, and to connect survivors who have experienced rape and sexual abuse (including Sex Trafficking) to therapeutic and victim services. The Outreach Specialist builds and maintains relationships with campus stakeholders, conducts a variety of outreach and engagement activities, and recruits clients for CRCC programs by staffing drop-in hours on partner campuses.

Qualifications: A qualified applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field and a minimum of two years’ experience. Must have excellent public speaking, presentation and communication skills; ability to connect with others and forge strong relationships; commitment to the mission of CRCC to serve survivors and prevent sexual violence; knowledge of cultural diversity, working with underserved and vulnerable populations; ability to support and motivate potential staff and clients. Must be able to work well with volunteers and staff and to communicate effectively. Ability to handle crisis situations with a minimum of supervision. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Must have valid OH driver’s license.

Crisis Intervention Specialist – Part Time

Position Summary:  The Crisis Intervention Specialist reports to the Manager of 24-Hour Services and is responsible for providing 24-Hour Support Services, including in-person support to survivors and their families during forensic medical exams in hospitals, and during police reports; hotline coverage to ensure all survivors and co-survivors of sexual abuse, rape and human trafficking in Northeast Ohio have immediate 24/7 access to support, education, crisis stabilization and follow-up services. The Crisis Intervention Specialist works closely with CRCC volunteers, taking on the role of shift leader by answering questions, addressing any scheduling changes, problems, or questions and providing information as needed. This is a part-time (20-hours a week) position, day and night shifts available.

Qualifications: A qualified applicant will have a background in social work, psychology, sociology or related field, with a minimum of two years professionally supervised work in the delivery of mental health, chemical dependency and/or social services. LSW a plus. Ability to serve individuals in a direct service capacity; remain calm and clear-headed in stressful or unanticipated situations; be accessible and reliable while on-call. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary and weekend and holiday hours are required. Must have valid OH driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Client Services Specialist- Ashtabula Office

Position Summary: The Client Services Specialist reports to Director of Regional Services and will staff the Center’s reception area at our office in Ashtabula City during business hours to greet and appropriately direct clients via phone calls or in person, playing a critical role in providing outstanding, trauma-informed client/customer services. Duties further include client check in/check out, collecting insurance/demographic information, updating client data in electronic health records, faxing, filing, scanning, and keeping the reception area organized.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, is responsible for positive client relationships, is detail oriented and effective at multitasking, sensitive to clients and caller’s needs and confidentiality. Position requires customer service or related experience. This is a part time (20 hours) position; occasional early mornings, later evenings required.

Victim Specialist

Position Summary: The Victim Specialist is primarily responsible for providing trauma-informed crisis and ongoing support and advocacy to survivors of rape, and sex abuse with a strong focus on sex trafficking in the medical and judicial systems. The Victim Specialist provides a broad range of services to empower a survivor including, but not limited to: educating and facilitating the victim’s decision-making, serving as a liaison between agencies, accompanying/staying with the victim during court appointments, conducting safety planning. Victim Specialist will also assist with providing training for law enforcement, prosecutors, judges, and other community professionals. This position serves all cities in Cuyahoga County with a focus on suburban communities and sex trafficking.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, MA preferred, LSW required, with two years of experience in a related field providing direct services to the community in a human services program, or five years’ work experience in a related field.  Must have ability to build relationships, collaborate internally and externally, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences, staff, volunteers and partners both verbally and in writing; able to assess the needs of clients under emotional stress and refer to appropriate resources, handle graphic accounts of crimes, interact effectively with emotionally upset survivors; Maintain confidentiality of information; Must be able to travel in North East Ohio and have valid OH driver’s license.

Manager of Human Resources

Position Summary: The Manager of Human Resources is responsible for the administration of the human resources policies and procedures. They are instrumental in the areas of departmental development, Human Resource Information Systems, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, and employment. This is a full-time position.

Qualifications: The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of five years of broad HR experience, including experience with payroll, reporting, benefits and the annual audit process; in-depth knowledge of at least one payroll system; and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. An ideal candidate will be results oriented with superior skills in organizing, planning, and attention to details; have excellent verbal and written communication skills; and have a strong sense of integrity, honesty, and ethics.

Volunteer & Internship Coordinator

Position Summary: The Volunteer & Internship Coordinator reports to the Manager of 24-Hour Services and is responsible for the coordination of all aspects of the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center’s (CRCC) volunteer and internship programs, including recruitment, training, and recognition of volunteers and interns. The Volunteer & Internship Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining the operations of CRCC’s text and chat line, as well as utilizing volunteers in non-direct service capacities, as needed.

Qualifications: A qualified applicant will have a Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field, LSW preferred. Experience with volunteer or intern program coordination; ability to work with diverse populations; ability to multi-task; detail-oriented and organized; experienced with diverse technologies and software, the ability to work a flexible schedule; excellent communication skills; bi-lingual preferred. This is a full-time position requiring flexible hours (evenings, PRN weekends) of work. Candidates must be available to assist with on-call shifts between 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am as needed.
