Women ages 16-24 are four times more likely to be assaulted than any other demographic. In fact, many believe that the first three weeks that a student is on a college campus is the most dangerous time.
Cleveland Rape Crisis Center supports college communities in preventing and responding to sexual violence in many ways, including:
- Fostering coalitions among campus groups and other campuses
- Technical assistance on policy development
- Training peer educators
- Supporting student extracurricular groups such as 1 in 4
- Supporting and enhancing educational campaigns, such as Sexual Assault Awareness Month
- Presenting various programs to students and faculty
