CRCC in Columbus Dispatch Expressing Support for CARE Act

Cleveland Rape Crisis Center supports the Compassionate Assistance for Rape Emergencies (CARE) Act which is being introduced in the state legislature by Sen. Nina Turner and Reps. Nickie Antonio and Nancy Garland.
CARE will ensure that all sexual assault survivors get the medical treatment they need and deserve following an assault. It would require that all hospital emergency rooms have a policy in place to provide sexual assault survivors with treatment to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, if the survivor wishes to take them.
CRCC was in Columbus for the announcement and was quoted in the Columbus Dispatch.
