Training Creating an Empowering Practice —A Model for Working with Children and Families on Sexual Trauma Friday, October 10 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. This workshop will provide clinicians with intervention strategies to help families recovering from trauma move from the stance of fragile to a stance of health and thriving. This strength-based approach integrates family systems theory, an understanding of the impact of trauma and intervention ideas to empower and guide families to move towards long term wellness. The model uses the metaphor of a tool belt to aid professionals in understanding how to implement interventions.
