Group Facilitator Training
Wednesday, September 24, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 25, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday, September 26, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
(Participants attend all three days)

This training is designed to teach process-oriented group technique to clinicians in order to enhance their group practice skills. It relies heavily on the work of Yalom and Gestalt Systems Theory. Didactic, experiential and practicum methods give participants a full learning experience, including an opportunity to practice and receive feedback.

Creating an Empowering Practice —A Model for Working with Children and Families on Sexual Trauma
Friday, October 10
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

This workshop will provide clinicians with intervention strategies to help families recovering from trauma move from the stance of fragile to a stance of health and thriving. This strength-based approach integrates family systems theory, an understanding of the impact of trauma and intervention ideas to empower and guide families to move towards long term wellness. The model uses the metaphor of a tool belt to aid professionals in understanding how to implement interventions.

Working the Paradigm of Forgiveness in the Therapeutic Process
Friday, November 7
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The concept of forgiveness is a complicated issue for many engaged in the therapeutic process, especially survivors of trauma. This workshop will explore what it means to forgive in the therapeutic context, and what paradigms to use when clients are struggling with whether or not they “need” to forgive in order to recover. The personal, clinical, emotional and spiritual impact of forgiveness will be explored, as well as intervention strategies around this challenging topic.

Providing Effective Supervision for Those Who Work with Trauma
Friday, November 21
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

This workshop is designed to assist managers and supervisors in supporting and adequately supervising their staff who work with traumatized individuals and other difficult populations. It will explore issues that arise for both the worker and the supervisor such as vicarious trauma, and burnout and stress that occurs in working with difficult traumatized clients. This program is approved for supervision credits from the social work, counselor and marriage and family therapy board.

*This workshop is approved to meet the “ethics requirement” by the State of Ohio CSWMFT board, and can be offered at your organization and tailored to your clinical needs. A three hour format is also available.

Wellness Series
This series consists of workshops for female and male survivors of sexual violence. Each workshop has been designed to be a day of healing brought about by creativity and imagination in a supportive and caring environment. Please contact CRCC for additional information and workshop locations. Fee is $15 per session.

Yoga and Meditation
Saturday, March 22
9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Enjoy Yoga, meditation, and relaxation with a half day workshop. This workshop is for both women and men.

Bring your imagination to a full day art workshop. A full sensory experience using a variety of materials. This workshop is for both women and men.

Consultations & Trainings

Clinical Consultation and Support

The CRCC offers clinical consultation and supervision to agencies
that need support in their work with survivors of sexual assault within their own organization. Consultation services can be designed to meet the needs of each organization and may consist of a one-time educational workshop, assistance with vicarious trauma issues for clinical staff, or monthly case/issue supervision. Let our clinical experts share their knowledge, and support your staff in providing the best possible care for survivors of sexual assault. Fee: $75 per hour. Call to schedule.
